Plug-in hybrid system
The plug-in hybrid system used in the NX 450h+ is equipped with a thermally-efficient 2.5-litre inline-four engine, a high-capacity battery, and front and rear motors. The driver can switch between four driving modes - EV Priority mode, AUTO EV/HV mode, HV mode, and Battery-charging mode - all at the touch of a switch.
In Auto EV/HV mode, if the accelerator is fully depressed or if more power is required temporarily such as for sudden acceleration, the engine will start, enabling powerful HV acceleration.
THE ALL-NEW NX LINE UP
In addition to the NX 450h+, the Lexus NX is also available in three other variants:
The NX HEV uses a highly-efficient 2.5-litre petrol engine, combined with a high-output electric motor and Lithium-ion battery pack, with control logic that achieves an optimised balance of high performance and low fuel usage.
In addition to a high-speed combustion system, the newly-developed 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine features Lexus’ first centre-injection direct-injection system and a close placement of the turbocharger and catalyst – meeting increasingly stringent exhaust and fuel economy regulations around the world.
A highly efficient 2.5-litre petrol engine and Direct Shift eight-speed automatic are delivered in the lightest NX with instant response.
