With a suite of enhanced driving performance technologies, the LX pushes the boundaries of capability.

The LX 500d features a Lexus first, newly-developed 3.3L V6 twin-turbo diesel engine with full-time 4WD.
The LX 600 has a powerful 3.5L V6 twin-turbo petrol engine with full-time 4WD.

Both engines are paired with 10-speed automatic transmission. The result? Significantly more power, higher torque and excellent responsiveness.

LX 500d

The LX 500d features a newly-developed 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel engine. A Lexus-first, the high-performance diesel engine enables the excellent off-road capability of a flagship Lexus SUV. The new powertrain provides powerful acceleration with excellent response and high torque at low speeds, and continuous acceleration with high output at higher speeds. Paired with a new 10-speed automatic transmission, the LX 500d generates 227kW of power and 700Nm of torque — so you can expect an exhilarating yet smooth drive.

LX 600

The LX 600 features a 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine with full-time 4WD. Paired with the new 10-speed automatic transmission, this is a high-performance petrol engine that achieves the incredible performance and refinement of a Lexus flagship. Capable of 305kW/650Nm, the LX 600 is sure to excite.

Multi-Terrain Select (MTS)

Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) is a feature that allows the driver to choose the appropriate driving mode and, as a result, optimise the characteristics of drive force control and brake force control in accordance with off-road terrain conditions.

The Auto mode which predicts and selects the optimum mode for the current driving situation, is based on information from the various sensors and the driver's accelerator/brake operations. MTS can be controlled via the Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) on the control board, which displays a variety of distinct camera views including an under-vehicle view and a back underfloor view.⁵

GA-F PLATFORM

The newly developed high-rigidity body and lightweight frame provides high-strength resilience and reduced weight, for stable on-road handling and reliable off-road performance. The engine position has been revised, contributing to enhanced handling stability by lowering the centre of gravity and optimising the front-rear weight distribution.

Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) with Active Height Control

A more intuitively responsive Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) enables you to customise your desired level of road feel. While newly available Active Height Control defaults to a lower centre of gravity at higher speeds for optimised stability and handling. The system can detect a sharp turn of the steering wheel as you enter a curve, and automatically adjust the suspension to help reduce body roll.

Crawl Control

Activated with just a press of a button, Crawl Control is designed to automatically maintain an optimal slow and steady pace over challenging terrain, allowing the driver to focus on steering.⁵

Optimal traction

The Torsen®⁶ torque-sensing Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) provides excellent handling stability for on-road driving. LSD efficiently distributes power between the front and rear axles, helping to optimise traction and vehicle stability in different driving conditions and during cornering.

Finely tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS)

The F Sport-tuned AVS uses highly responsive linear solenoid type dampers on all four wheels to allow for smoother, more precise control in response to road surface conditions. There are 650 levels of continuously variable damping force which contributes to reduced roll, enhancing ride comfort for driver and passengers.
